low console table, FESTIVAL CONSOLE, by American furniture designers Philip (1907-1987) and Kelvin (1936-2025) La Verne, an extremely talented father and son team, this low console has an acid-etched and enameled bronze patinated surface, New York (Made in America), 20th century, 1987

condition: minor spotting on one of the legs, otherwise well maintained, appropriate for age and use

Philip studied at the Art Students League of New York and Kelvin at the Parsons School of Design with a focus on metal sculpting and furniture design.

They famously marketed their furniture as not just furniture, but "Works of Art".

Their designs were mostly made to order, or you could purchase samples off the showroom floor.
