Nick Brock was born and spent his youth along the Eastern Seaboard. Exposed to the traditions and aesthetics of the region from childhood, he was instilled with a lifelong passion to own, collect, trade and educate himself and others about the fine and decorative arts.
At the age of twelve Nick received a scholarship to attend boarding school. Upon completion of his primary education, with honors, Nick attended the Kansas City Art Institute on an Academic Scholarship where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts. Nick continued his education at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, also on an Academic Scholarship, where he earned his Master's Degree in Fine Arts. In 1989, while working on his Master's Degree, Nick founded Nick Brock Antiques on Henderson Avenue, in Dallas, Texas.
Nick's personable and accommodating disposition toward his clients, business associates and scholars has rewarded him with invaluable relationships. Built over the course of more than three decades, these relationships have provided Nick unique access to many of the finest estates and private collections in the country. In addition to this access, Nick's willingness to personally venture far and wide at a moment's notice to follow a lead is a cornerstone of his success.
The continued relevance and success of Nick Brock Antiques is a testament to Nick and his team's commitment and passion to the fine and decorative arts. Never one to rest on his laurels, Nick is currently engaged in the planning for a new and expanded location in the Dallas Design District.
Nick and his dedicated employees strive to provide an unparalleled level of customer service. Cindy and Konrad have been with Nick Brock Antiques since 2007. Joel has been keeping the shop in top form since 2009.
Nick would like to express his gratitude to everyone who has contributed over the past thirty-plus years to making Nick Brock Antiques the success that it is today.
