Artist Biography: Rafael Durán Benet (1931-2015) was a Catalan painter known for his urban and maritime landscapes, mainly depicting Mediterranean scenes. He trained at the Barcelona School of Fine Arts and developed a body of work deeply connected to the light and colors of the Catalan and Andalusian coasts. His paintings capture the atmosphere of small coastal and rural villages with a style that blends Post-Impressionism and contemporary realism.
