A Portuguese bed of carved and turned rosewood with 17th century elements, the headboard profusely mounted with spiral-twist spindles and the footboard between two boldly turned posts that include spiral-twists, brass bed bolts with turned detail
This type of bed takes it inspiration with its intricate carving form the Moors and in the 17th century, the turning and carving became more elaborate as on this offered example.
