A Louis XV style Second Empire (Napoleon III) small writing desk / table (lectern, stand, or podium) of fruitwood and kingwood, with an embossed gilt green leather slant-front writing surface over two (2) open shelves supported by elegant cabriole legs with gilt bronze / ormolu mounts at knees terminating in gilt bronze sabots, slant-front top is hinged and opens to reveal storage below, small drawer on either side with gilt bronze knobs.
