large Chinese Export rose meadallion bowl. The central cartouche of the bowl depicts a court scene. Both the interior and exterior walls of the bowl have six (6) cartouches which each alternate between scences of people and scences of flora / fauna. The space between each cartouche is decorated with vines flowes, insects and gilding. China, 19th century
