A late George III mahogany and satinwood breakfront secretaire bookcase possessing many elements typically associated with the Sub-sequent Regency style of George IV, the upper display cabinet topped by a paneled segmental pediment over diamond glazed double doors enclosing a partially fabric lined interior fitted with two adjustable shelves, the lower case featuring an embellished fall front drawer enclosing an arrangement of pigeonholes and small drawers, surmounting three graduating long drawers, the whole above a plain serpentine apron leading to short French bracket feet.
