English Regency mahogany and satinwood two-piece secretary cabinet. Top section has a shaped cornice with an ebonized lion medallion flanked by sphinxes to the center and ebonized lion masks to the corners, over an ebonized Greek key frieze, above two glass paneled doors with oval medallions flanked by columns terminating in paw feet. The lower section has a false drawer panel fitted as a desk with a pull-out writing surface, with ebonized trim and brass lion mask handles over two doors with ebonized medallions to the centers and ebonized trim flanked by columns. All resting on ebonized front and back feet. Design almost certainly from Sheraton, England, circa 1810.
