a Dutch East Indies Regency settee made from solid padouk. This Dutch Colonial settee has a reeded pierced and carved back splat below the scrolled crest rail. The settee arms have a reed top gracefully coming down to a scrolled handrest above a reed vase form support continuing down to a turn reeded front leg. The stile is scrolled at the toprail and comes down to sabre back legs, early 19th century
